Together with the German company acapulcodesign.eu we developed a photo guerilla tactic for their major branding photo shoot in Mexico City. We stuffed two Acapulco chairs in the back of the car, randomly driving in one direction searching for photo motives. With this type of street photography we immersed ourselves in the (sur-)real world of one of the largest cities in the world and reflected a real-staged Mexican life, far from any context in which a design classic is normally located. Although the approach seems random, it was always our highest concern to respect and reproduce Mexican culture and society. We started with with this vision more than four years ago and until today we have implemented street photography as solid basis to create convincing key visuals for Acapulco Design.
